Is Cider Good For You?

We CiderPunks have often maintained that artisan cider is good for you, but it's a tongue in cheek claim we don't take seriously. However, take a quick look at Wikipedia's Cider page and you'll see an interesting claim to the health benefits of cider:

Conventional apple cider has a relatively high concentration of phenolics and antioxidants which may be helpful for preventing heart disease, cancer and other ailments. This is, in part, because apples themselves have a fairly high concentration of phenolics in them to begin with.

Wow, so we were right!

(No, but seriously, be responsible when enjoying our artisan cider. A little bit might be healthy. A lot is probably not.)
